We “miss” our children when they leave home for college, work, military, etc.  It’s a big adjustment period.  It’s important to know how to handle our own emotions of sadness and “missing” them WITHOUT adding emotional burden to our children.

Missing our children is OUR responsibility to process.  Our children are managing THEIR insecurities, challenges, loneliness, vulnerability.  They need parents who project confidence and trust, not worry and insecurity.
