Podcast: Confidence Coaching with Heidi Benjaminsen

Ep. 145 What Others Think About Us

We get hurt when people criticize or say mean things about us.  And we feel loved and valued when people compliment us and love us.  In reality… what other people think about us reveals everything about them and very little about us.  Because people see us the way THEY are, not the way WE are.

Ep. 144 Desires, Likes Wants

Emotionally healthy families include a mother who knows what she likes, who knows her own desires, dreams, wants – those separate from those of her family.  Children feel safer and more secure when they see their mother able to express and meet her desires. Its easy while parenting to silence or ignore our own desires

Ep. 143 Feeling Left Out

We all know the feeling in the pit of our stomach – we hear about a fun party and realize we weren’t invited.  Or we go to a luncheon and everyone is already sitting with a friend.  We feel “left out”.  Where does this feeling come from and why does it leave us acting in

Hi, I’m Heidi

As a mother of three teenagers, I know the feeling of thinking I’m failing my children, wanting to control every choice they make and worrying about what may, or may not, happen in the future. It’s paralyzing and feels awful. It doesn’t HAVE to be that way.

As a Certified Life coach, I’ve learned what is really causing my anger and frustration – and amazingly – other people don’t need to change for me to feel better. I didn’t realize how dirty and foggy the lenses were through which I was judging my children. And myself. And the world.

I now help mothers of teenagers replace their fuzzy lenses with a unique and clear prescription. Wearing these lenses, my clients create life-changing confidence and calm that has positive ripple effects in every area of their life.

A confident mother is the greatest gift to her family.

Heidi has been an incredible help teaching me the tools I need to manage myself. Everything comes down to self-awareness. How do I want to show up for me and for others?
